1. What is MatesGate?
MatesGate is a social network designed to earn money for its members and help its members advertise their products, affiliate links and business opportunities. It works like any other social network - users can make friends with other users, post blogs, form groups, upload photographs and videos and interact with other members.

2. How Do I Make Money?
You make money just by being an active member. We share 50% of site revenue with ALL members and a further 40% is shared between Featured Members. We will also run free contests and competitions from time to time where you can win or earn extra money.  You can also create groups and blogs and monetise them for yourself.

3. How Do You Know If I Am An Active Member?
To be considered an active member, you need to log in every day (or at least as often as possible) and click on the two sponsored link located above the wall on the main page.  We have a code embedded on the page that tracks the clicks on those two sponsored links but we don't track anything that you click.  Clicking on the two sponsored links helps to add money to the pot.

4. What Is The Pot?
The pot is the amount money we have available to share between the members.  This money comes from various sources such as the banner advertisements, sponsorships, the sponsored links and sponsored likes. We are unable to say how much the pot is exactly at any given time as we have a large number of programs that make money for the pot and it would take about three hours work every day to tally the pot value, which is time we could better spend promoting the site and earning more money for the pot.  We are seeking to implement a system whereby we can estimate the pot value and will update this section accordingly when trials are complete.

5. What Can I Do To Increase The Pot Value?
You can increase the pot value by:

• clicking on the sponsored links
  
• clicking on the sponsored likes
  
• promoting the site (the more members we get the more we earn from the banner adverts)
  
• promoting the site's text link ads that are sold via the sidebar
  
• simply exploring the site
  
• reading Admin's blogs and forum posts

6. How Do I Become A Featured Member?
You can become a Featured Member in one of two ways:
(a) by promoting the site - simply post links to the site on other websites where you are permitted to post links and e-mail us to tell us where you have posted the links; we will check them and once we have verified that you have done so you will become a Featured Member from the first day of the following month for the whole of the month;
(b) by paying $10 - you will become a Featured Member from the day we verify receipt of your payment for a whole year

7. How Much Will I Earn?
We can't tell you that because it depends on how much the site earns from advertising and sponsorship. You will a share of 50% of the site revenue and if you are a Featured Member you will receive a share of a further 40% of the site revenue.

8. What Happens To The Other 10% Of The Revenue?
That is banked by us to promote the site and pay any costs.

9. What Type Of Content Can I Upload?
You can upload content that is suitable for all people to see. You may not upload any pornographic material whatsoever and by uploading anything you warrant that you own the copyright to the content or at the very least have the copyright holder's permission to do so. If we are requested to remove copyrighted material we will do so and any member continually uploading copyrighted material will be suspended or removed from the site and all earnings due will be forfeited.

10. Is There Anything Else I'm Not Allowed To Do?
Yes - you must not spam members by sending them direct messages and you are not permitted to continually post links on the wall which would annoy other members. In addition, you are not permitted to use foul or abusive language or do anything that promotes hatred or intolerance towards any person or groups of people. Any members found to be doing these things will be suspended or removed from the site and all earnings due will be forfeited.

11. Can I Advertise On The Site?
Yes - we have an area of the site on the dashboard and profile pages exclusively reserved for member advertisements. Members can advertise at a heavily discounted rate or, at the discretion of the administrators, free of charge. You may also post links on your profile and on the wall but you must not continually post the same link or set of links in a way that may cause annoyance to other members.

The best part about doing jobs for Cloud Crowd is that you are paid FAST. It may be just hours before you are paid. Depending on the time of day and the day of the week you work, you may expect your payment the next day. The Cloud Crowd policy is that if your work is approved by 8 p.m. Eastern, you will receive your payment the very next business day. I've also heard of people being paid the same day for work done early in the day.

Cloud Crowd workers are paid through PayPal automatically. You never have to send an invoice, ask when your payment is coming, etc. If you have a PayPal account, you're all set to go.

The Pros and Cons of Making Money Online With Cloud Crowd

Pros:

The fast payments are a major plus. Many people who make money online are able to make more elsewhere, but they can't earn any faster elsewhere. When you need money quick, this is a nice egg to have in your basket.

The tasks are pretty simple. Most of the tasks that I have done are just mindless rewrites of badly-translated text. I can do it while watching TV or talking to someone.

Cons:

The pay per task is low. The payment for editing elsewhere is usually higher, though with Cloud Crowd the work is there and you don't have to dig around for it.

The best tasks may get taken quickly. When that happens, you may have to take your second or third choice or wait until more tasks are loaded.
